... and had to get a real job.
Not that my last job, which involved staff meetings discussing the ways that gay men meet, wasn't for reals. I did real work, I had a real schedule (that I was largely expected to really keep) and I may have even really helped someone. However, there were an awful lot of days spent at online gaming, writing emails, blogging, etc.. In my new job. I have no time for any of these things. And yet, I still make time for all of them. Granted, a new blog template is not even on the horizon. Then again, I do believe that the current template suits me fine. A picture of a mountain, somewhere in my mind where I can go when the real world gets overwhelming.
I am sure that I will find time to do this blog thing, check my email, and maybe even messenger from my office. But the question remains, do I want to? There are a lot of ethical issues with that. I guess this is a mass statement to let you all know that I may be less available on a moment's notice. I have enough people asking me to drop what I am doing in the middle of their crisis as it is. :) But I am totally open for lunch invites. Anyone who wants to get me out of the office around noon or 1:00 is my best friend for at least an hour.
Did you know I worked in my old job for 4 years? And all I had to show for it in the end was a large box of crap that I probably should have thrown away. I miss the co-workers whom I came to know quite well after 4 years in the same cubicle. I do not miss the cubicle, I do not miss entering abstracts into a database, and I do not miss being unable to park when I had an important meeting. Ok.. maybe I miss the cubicle a little. We don't even have room for a cubicle. :)
Ok.. enough with being boring. Just thought I'd let you all know.. I LOVE MY NEW JOB!

I know both of you, my faithful readers, have been wondering where the heck I ran off to. Well, you see, its called Finals. I studied for them this year. And like last year they took me two weeks. Unfortunately what with AIDS Walk and Day of Silence, I kinda forgot to let anyone know. While you may not think that is a good excuse, its the one I will use.
As a result, I am well aware that my posts have been rather - impersonal and "form" incarnations. I apologize. There will be a public flogging at high noon (cus we are in the west y'all knows) sometime in the near future. If you really want more you may address all your complaints to our customer appreciation desk. Their link is located somewhere on the page, go find it.
Apologies aside, and risking running this into another impersonal "form" post, I learned some distressing news today. I was reading my horoscope like a good little gay boy and found that next week is going to suck so bad that this week was a warning. No advice on how to live this week, what to expect on say Wednesday (aside from more rain), or a general cheer up its not that bad. Nope, my horoscope for this week was basically "next week is going to suck, you'll have a hard time getting by, good luck, if you keep going full blast you'll just make it to the finish."
Now, I know I rarely cuss on this blog, seeing as it is for children and all, but say it with me now.. I AM !@#$%^&*()-ed!
